A bear, which had to fight for a living for a long time, escaped and chose the first place to stay. The bears greeted him with brotherly kisses and hummed joyfully through the forest. And wherever one bear saw the other, it was said: "Petz is back!" The bear then talked about the adventures he had endured in foreign lands. What he had seen, heard, done, and as he talked about dancing as if he were still on his chain, he began to dance beautifully in Polish.

The brothers who saw him dance admired the turn of his limbs. And immediately the brothers tried it; Alone instead of going like him. They could barely stand upright. And some fell down their entire length. The dancer was all the more impressive; But his art annoyed the whole bunch. "Away," everyone shouted, "Away with you! You fool want to be smarter than us?" The Petz was forced to run away. Don't be clever, people won't hate you much because then everyone will be similar to you.

But the more skilled you are in front of many others. The more be careful not to appear boastful. It is true, for a short time people will speak praiseworthy of your arts. But don't trust, envy will soon follow and turn skill into an unforgivable crime.
